The winter holiday season is traditionally a festive and eventful time of year. Celebrations, family gatherings, and visits from friends traditionally increase in number during the season. Statistics show that the incidents of home fires and electrical accidents also typically increase during the winter holiday season.
Each year, the Electrical Safety Foundation (ESFI) launches a national safety awareness campaign to encourage families and communities across the country to make safety a tradition of the holiday season. This year, ESFI, in conjunction with the Fire Safety Research Institute (FSRI), is educating Americans about the safety concerns associated with lithium-ion batteries.
Join ESFI in this important safety initiative. Individuals and organizations are encouraged to make use of ESFI’s free awareness resources to encourage family, friends, colleagues and neighbors to keep safety in mind during this magical time of year.
A proactive approach to safety will help you give the gift of safety to your family and friends this holiday season!
