New Leadership for the Electrical Safety Foundation International

(Arlington, Va.)Electrical Safety Foundation International (ESFI) Board Chairman Grant Carter today announced that Brett Brenner has been chosen as the new executive director of ESFI.

“We are confident that we have chosen the right person to lead ESFI,” noted Carter, vice president of marketing and communications, CSA group. “Brett brings to ESFI a background in management, marketing, sales and finance.”

Prior to joining ESFI, Brett was chief of staff to Evan Gaddis, president and chief executive officer of the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), and formerly chief executive officer of the Gas Appliance Manufacturers Association (GAMA). While at GAMA, Brenner managed a 25-person staff and worked directly with the president on a variety of outreach programs.  Brenner has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Radford University in Virginia.

“I look forward to being part of an organization capable of moving electrical safety awareness to a new level. The Foundation will play a major role in reducing deaths, injuries and property damage due to electrical hazards, both at home and in the workplace,” said Brenner.
