Winter Safety

Statistics show that sales of electrical products increase during the month of December. This increase in electrical product purchases, combined with the advent of colder weather in many parts of the country, increases the likelihood of electrical fires, electrocutions and injuries. Portable generators and space heaters are also common during colder months.

According to National Fire Protection Association, 30 percent of all home fires and 38 percent of home fire deaths occur during the winter months. Take extra precautions to prevent electrical injuries and accidents associated with the use of portable generators, space heaters, and severe weather during the colder winter months.
