ESFI Honors Malcolm O’Hagan with 2009 Outstanding Service Award

Arlington, VAThe Electrical Safety Foundation International (ESFI) has named Dr. Malcolm O’Hagan as the recipient of the 2009 Outstanding Service Award in honor of Harold Leviton. The award recognizes individuals for their outstanding achievements in and contributions to electrical safety.

 
The Outstanding Service Award was established in 2008 as a tribute to Leviton’s legacy of outstanding service and dedication to improving electrical safety.
 
Malcolm O’Hagan is being honored for his instrumental role in establishing the Electrical Safety Foundation International and chartering its mission and endowment programs.  As a member of ESFI’s Board of Directors from 1994-2005, O’Hagan oversaw the creation and subsequent fundraising efforts, raising an endowment of $4 million. During his tenure, he helped ESFI forge new strategic partnerships and aided in the expansion of the foundation’s initiatives and scope. 
 
Among his many accomplishments, Malcolm O’Hagan is a past president of the National Electrical Manufacturers Association, where he served for fourteen years and formed the Industry Data Exchange Association.
 
The Electrical Safety Foundation International (ESFI) is a 501(c) (3) organization dedicated exclusively to promoting electrical safety.
