ESFI utilized funds provided by a 2010 Fire Prevention and Safety (FP&S) Grant from the Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency to develop this third installment of our dynamic Investigate with P.I. Plug children's safety awareness program.
These holiday safety-specific program materials, starring ESFI's quirky Private I. Plug mascot, deliver critical holiday fire and electrical safety messages to elementary school children in grades 3-5, focusing on decorating, cooking, space heaters, and smoke alarms.
These resources have been developed in accordance with the National Science Education standards.
